The Andhra Pradesh government recently launched a major 100-day water conservation and security campaign from Tadipatri. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated the initiative to improve groundwater levels and support farmers in drought-prone regions. The program focuses on restoring lakes, ponds, canals, and irrigation systems across villages. Officials stated that thousands of groundwater-stressed villages will benefit from the project. The campaign also encourages public participation in water-saving activities. Advanced technologies such as satellite mapping and water audits are being used for planning. Farmers in the Tadipatri region welcomed the initiative as it may improve irrigation during upcoming agricultural seasons. The government aims to increase groundwater levels significantly through this program. Several departments including irrigation, agriculture, and Panchayat Raj are jointly working on the project. Tadipatri has now become an important center for Andhra Pradeshโs water conservation mission.
